Due to fire damage that occurred last week, the library is closing its doors to the public until further notice (starting Thursday, November 23, 2023).
Note: Currently, it is not possible to sit in the library. See below information about the temporary reading hall.
Meanwhile, we are working toward providing you with access to the library and its resources. Library services will operate on Sundays through Thursdays, between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM. During active hours, services will be provided via email and WhatsApp messages (please note that there is currently no active phone line, do not call via WhatsApp either).
Library Services:
Book Loans:
Book loans will be available by pre-order through email (libarc@tauex.tau.ac.il) or WhatsApp (03-6409023).
In the order email, specify all details of the requested book (title, author/editor, edition year, call number).
Loan requests are limited to up to five books at a time.
Reserved books will be loaned for up to three hours.
Confirmation of the loan will be sent via email or WhatsApp.
After receiving loan confirmation, you can pick up the books from Room 209 at the following times: 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 3:00 PM.
Books must be returned to the return box next to the library (the blue box with the owl).
Scans from the Library Collection:
We offer scans of up to 30 pages from any of the library books and periodicals.
The scan will be ready within a business day from receiving the request.
In the order email, specify all details of the requested book/article (title, author/editor, edition year, call number) and the required page numbers.
Temporary reading hall
Classroom 361a has been arranged for us as an alternative reading hall.
A library staff member will be present in the room and can assist in finding information if needed.
The classroom will be open on Sundays through Thursdays between 9 AM and 4 PM.
It is recommended and preferable if you pre-order the books you intend to use.
Equipment Loans (Keys and Various):
Authorized personnel can pick up keys and equipment from Room 209.
